strong work. what is the story behind the flamethrowerish bits where the barrel should be?

Thanks. That had to be some sci-fi elements, when I had wires from battery in the stock to the front, I'd add there a LEDs. I thougt that it should be and disruptor or pulse upgrade... :D

the most science fictional plasma guns work similar to flamethrowers (or waterguns ^^) alternatively I could think up some kind of fluff text like:

Call 'em coils. This are two coils, that create a ionizing field in front of the barrel. when fired, the projectile (probably made of 'plasma' or a similar phlebotinous substance) is being ionized and therefore 'charged' by passing through the field. since the hot stuff doesn't get ionized inside the gun, the probability of (often lethal) malfunctions trough defect pumps and conainment units is negated, also the weapon is significantly lighter than common plasma guns. On the minus side... well, if you get the coils somehow damaged (what's likely since they are exposed to outer influence), you've got a pretty expansive Watergun, also the coils need to be constantly adjusted, but that's the issue with all Plasma Guns.

Ok... Thanks for describing how the plasma guns works, but I, maybe unfortunatelly, didn't think what the barells are... I just like them, and they add the weapon futuristic look. And they link this rifle with my older wood weapons projects, because they were laser guns, or some other types of futuristic weapons...
